I am very excited to be standing at the Volvo Group booth at the Renewable Energy Technology Conference & Exhibition (RETECH 2010) in the Washington, DC convention center. RETECH 2010 is co-produced by the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), an organization with which Volvo is pleased to have a long standing relationship. Volvo Group is a proud silver sponsor of RETECH 2010.
Held over three days, the conference focuses on key technologies such as wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, biofuels, etc, and brings together industry-leading speakers to share their knowledge on clean technologies and other topics related to renewable energy.
Here in the Volvo Group booth, we are showcasing a diesel-electric hybrid tractor built by Mack trucks, Inc. for transport use by the U.S. Air Force. This truck, a Mack Granite model, represents the latest generation of heavy-duty hybrid technology and meets near-zero EPA 2010 emissions regulations. We are looking forward to speaking to conference participants about the Volvo Group's environmental programs and our comittment to a cleaner environment.
